November 2018

As we move closer to 2019, it gives me great pleasure to take this opportunity to greet you and send you encouragement to continue to support St. Andrew’s Scottish Society, not only at our year-end function but also throughout the coming year. On behalf of the Committee, I would like to thank all members for their support during 2018.

It is necessary, at this point, to advise all members of St. Andrews of the changes that have taken place recently. At the November meeting of the Committee the Chief, Edmund Johnson, resigned as Chief. As our constitution does not address this, the Committee made a decision that the Senior Chieftain (myself) take over the position as Chief. Further to this, Mrs Bonnie Johnson resigned from the Committee. We thank both Edmund and Bonnie for all they did for St. Andrews in their former positions.

All members, their family and friends are invited to our year-end function:

DATE: Saturday 1 December 2018

TIME: 18h30 for 19h00

VENUE: Herbert Park, main hall

FOOD: Chicken, salad and rolls followed by ice-cream

DRINKS: Can be bought from Herbert Park’s fully licensed bar

COST: No payment necessary! Just enjoy the evening to the fullest but make sure you
have some cash to buy raffle tickets 😁

R.S.V.P. by 27 November, so we know how many to cater for, to or WhatsApp 076 942 1816

I apologise that Robin and I will not be at this awesome function as we will be away. However, I know that Jean Kelly, Tommy Soutar and the rest of the Committee will make me proud.

Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

Glenys Kelly
